L.I.F.T. Ministries is dedicated to bringing to orphans an inheritance God has for them, for when they are no longer children in an orphanage, but are still in need of guidance and help in their early adult years as they navigate the road before them. Participation in artwork is not only therapeutic for traumatized children who have been displaced and settled into children’s homes and orphanages, but through L.I.F.T.’s training and programs, a way can be made for these children, to move into the calling and vocation that God is preparing them for.
“I have had orphan children on my heart for over 12 years and have tried different opportunities to serve here and there, but I really wanted to do something to make a difference. ” —Lucinda Shelton
Lucinda Shelton, founding director of L.I.F.T. is planning a second trip to a healing community for 140 children who have been rescued from some really hard situations, and who are in the healing process. Working with a local team and staff, Lucinda will be bringing art supplies and training to help these children and their caregivers to agree with God and help bring them ‘a hope and a future.’
